The Brodie Springs Trail provides an entrance to Brodie Springs around .7 miles south of West Slaughter on the East side of Brodie Lane. Other entrances can be found on the south side of the neighborhood near Squirrel Hollow at the North edge of the Shady Hollow neighborhood. It is also close and easy to get to the I-35 and Mopac (Loop 1) via W. Slaughter Lane.

 

Taylor Morrison Homes developed Brodie Springs and finished the homes in 2012. The builder was Grand Haven Homes. Home sales in this community started in 2007. Homes sizes range from 2,606 square feet to over 5,300 square feet.

The community homes are high-end Texas stone and stucco and are four-side masonry homes. One rule in the community is that fences are optional but wood fences are prohibited. It includes 114 homes.

There is a lot of shopping, restaurants and entertainment in the area. The Shady Hollow Village center at Brodie and West Slaughter Lane, and the Southpark Meadows center at I-35 and West Slaughter as well as a few parks close to the West Slaughter corridor, Grey Rock and Plum Creek golf courses, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Veloway rollerblading and bicycling track.
