Lakeway started as a place for retirees and those who wanted second-homes, however it has grown to include all types of people and families who enjoy the beautiful views and lake lifestyle of the area.
There are many activities in the area including golf, tennis, hiking, biking, picnic areas, camping areas, fishing, boating, swimming, and more.

Many homes in the Lakeway area are part of the Lake Travis ISD’s renowned school district.

Colleges within 20 miles of Lakeway include the University of Texas at Austin, Saint Edward’s University, Austin Community College, and Concordia University.
