Sendera is located in Southwest Austin. It is 11 miles from Downtown Austin.
The neighborhood is is split by Slaughter and Davis Lanes into three areas:
1. Sendera Place, sometimes called Sendera South, South of West Slaughter Lane
2. The Glen, which is located between West Slaughter and Davis
3. The Oaks, a section North of Davis Lane.
Sendera includes over 800 homes that are both one story and two story.
The homes here tend to be less pricey than other neighborhoods more West such as Circle C Ranch and the Villages at Western Oaks, as well as less expensive than those to its South such asShady Hollow, Brodie Springs, Bridges at Bear Creek.
Sendera Austin Amenities
This is a well-tended to neighborhood with wide streets that wind through the community make it visually and geographically interesting. One rule is that you are not allowed to park cars overnight on the streets here.
There is a neighborhood center with a pool, playground and areas to eat and lounge. The amenity center is located on Davis Lane, East of Mopac. Near the Sendera South entrance, another playground and eating area is available for use.
The amenities including the pool mean Sendera residents are required to pay an HOA. The HOA works contributes to keeping the community nice.
Sendera is a mile away from the Mopac also known as Loop 1. It is 5 miles away from IH-35 to the East on West Slaughter Lane. There are many of places to shop and eat near Sendera.
Residents can easily shop at the Escarpment Village in Circle C Ranch, The Shops at Arbor Trails at Mopac and William Cannon, and other developments nearby in the Sunset Valley area.
Sendera Location Perks
It is near the Grey Rock Golf Club and Course, a public one owned by the Austin City that used to be called Circle C GC, that is on the South side of Circle C Ranch. You can also easily drive to the Plum Creek golf course, the Kizer golf course and Austin’s Clay golf course from Sendera.
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Veloway on the East side of Circle C Ranch are also easily accessible to residents. There are also multiple parks in the area including Circle C Metro Park, Mary Moore Searight Park, and the Dick Nichols Park, as well as others.
Sendera Austin School District
Students in the area will likely be part of the Austin Independent School District. This is not guaranteed and anyone interested can check with the city and district to confirm.
